Europass

The objective of the Europass HR-XML working group is to establish a formal and operational link between current Europass specifications published by CEDEFOP to HR-XML specifications, such as those on which the SEP or SIDES working group are working in relation to other European requirements. The working group will:

provide Europass use cases and scenarios relevant to employment
develop application profiles based on existing HR-XML specifications to support Europass requirements
integrate Europass requirements into HR-XML compliant ePortfolio
reflect on the feasibility of a conformance programme for “Europass compliant” services

NB: Europass was established by the Decision No 2241/2004/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 15 December 2004 on a single transparency framework for qualifications and competences. Since then, the CEDEFOP, the European Agency for Vocational Training, has published a series of specifications for five Europass documents:

Europass curriculum vitae (CV) – e.g. to apply for a job
Europass Language Passport – e.g. to apply for a job
Europass Certificate Supplement – e.g. as part of a CV
Europass Diploma Supplement – e.g. as part of a CV
Europass Mobility – e.g. as part of a CV
